Had I seen such a link I would have click on it. However that site and it's accompanying full page popover ads were such a bear to load that within 15 seconds of beginning to load the page the browser (an up to date Firefox 2), wasn't responding. The Scroll bar locked up and would not move and clicking links got no results either.

Even had I been able to spot and then use a "Skip This Ad" button in time to prevent the flood, that level of excessive "beat the viewer over the head with it" advertising would have resulted in a similar, if not the same, score.

The reason is that it's just too much at once. Advertising is cool, I use it myself on this and other blogs, some more than others. The thing is to if you hit the visitor with so much advertising that they can't find the content that they originally came there looking for you will end up with that many less return visitors.

hi buddy,
thanks for the review :)

I'm sorry that you had such a "bad" impression. I believe that was all because of the full page ads I have.
whenever you see that, please click the red "Skip This Ad" button on the upper right corner.

Cheers
